Hi - Apologies as this is my first post so please let me know if not included correct information.
I've installed Cross DJ 2.6 on my laptop running windows 7 SP1 (no resource constraints). I run it and it crashed straight away. Had the same issues following a reboot. I subsequently installed 3.2.2 and
had the same experience.
Had the same issues with the controller (an Envivo USB DJ Controller) both connected and disconnected to the laptop.
The Windows crash report is posted below:

Hi , welcome to MixVibes,

If it crashes during startup you likely have an issue with the settings file.
Try deleting file
c:\users\[username]\appsdata\roaming\mixvibes\mixvibes.settings

(might be slightly different path name in w7)

I'm not too sure, but think the collection database is upgraded and not backwards compatible from 3.2. to 2.6. So you'd better copy you collection first (if a journal file exists copy these as a pair).

The Cross Free doesn't have a Cue (preview) function nor MIDI support...

Hi RoJec thanks for the reply

I've done a search in the relevant directory but there is no mixvibes.settings file located there. I've searched the entire drive and not found this file.

As the app has never worked from the point its been installed, would a settings file be created?

Cheers

Steve

I suggest to give it a fresh start.
Uninstall the Cross versions.

It is important to double check for the mixvibes.settings file as this is considered a user file so cannot be automatically uninstalled.
The appdata folder may be hidden; you should be able to find the mixvibes folder as in the mentioned path, unless you have access restrictions somehow.

The error report mentions Cross Free. For the controller you likely need the Cross LE version.

Then install (latest) version.
If the settingsfile is not missing or removed the reinstall likely is of no use....
