Problem when loading same track into other player

Postby markflowe on 07 Dec 2014, 01:37

I'll have a track playing in Player A (lets call it 'beats') and want to sample a different part of that track in my headphones, so will load beats into Player B as well so i can cue it up at a differnet point.

However, as soon as i load beats into Player B (while beats is currently playing in Player A) Player B starts playing automatically at the same point of beats in Player A.
Not only that but the slider for Player B switches to full volume!! This causes the track i was originally playing to sound like it is doubling in volume before i am able to quickly slide the volume of B back down.

Is there a setting for this? has this been answered elsewhere?
I have Cross 3.3.8

This is called 'cloning' and is intended behaviour.

And you're right to have to move the crossfader first. Which I think would be good to do in any situation when preping something in the other deck as you always run the risk of doing this to late.. even when it wasn't started automatic.
