Cross DJ stops doing player cue after few hours playing

I was testing my new setup yesterday and it occurred few times to me to loose the cue functionality on a player, mostly the right player, after few hours of deejaying.

What happens is that when I load a track to that player deck and press the VMS4.1 cue for that deck, no sound is routed to the headphones. But if I try the cue on the other decks it works, just that deck is affected.

This went back to normal after quitting Corss DJ app and opening it again. No reset needed on my American Audio VMS4.1, so I presume that the fault is on the Cross DJ app.

Anyone with the same problem?

Any hints on how to fix it or minor it's impact? I was thinking of going out with Cross DJ for a gig to give it a try, but like this it's impossible.

My setup is:

MacBook Air (13-inch, Mid 2012)
1,8 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1024 MB
256 GB SSD

American Audio VMS4.1 (with MixVibes firmware ver 6)

 just curious as to if when this happens does the cue for effected deck work via the gui controls ,,trying to rule out mapping /controller issues as the cause ,

I would guess one deck is mapped Cue/Play and other Cue/Stop.

With the controler active there is no gui button to activate the cue channel, but I doubt that it is a MIDI mapping issue because that wouldn't be solved by closing the app and reopen...

What's in a name. ..
Assumed it was the cue button below deck.
Now think you mean cue/head phone button. ...

Could be deck fader being low.

Maybe you can post a screen capture when it goes wrong
Both gui and audio settings.

I think I've figured it out. :)

It seams that it happens due to the break effect being left on, meaning that the last song had that effect at end when mixing the new one.

When I load the new song on the deck, the previous effect stays on and prevents the sound from being heard on the headphones. I know this is as it should, my bad on this one. :S

Sorry to bother you guys with this, I am still getting used to the Cross DJ look and feel... And thank you anyway for trying to help!

Recall to have had that one... only now..
Really great if you hide the FX strip but do use the FX...

Great you found it. Also a nice example of why posting a screen shot of a 'wrong' situation might say more than words... Many users will be happy to tell new users what they encountered when learning their way in DJ'ing.

Don't hesitate to ask anything. We are/should be able to give quick solutions as well....
