Cross 3.3RC3 with Traktor Kontrol X1 Mk2

Is there anyway to get the above controller working with Cross. I am using CDJ 2000 Nexus's this weekend and just want to use the Kontrol X1 Mk2 as an additional MIDI controller for the effects section.
The controller is ''online'' in the MIDI section but doesn't actually do anything. The device is installed correctly in windows 8.1 and device drivers are installed. I have tried both the 32 and 64bit version, same results...
