BPM has become unstable since key match was added

Hi Guys,

I have the following problem for a while, if i use mixvibes 1.6 or higher my BPM becomes unstable. I think it has to do with the key match, ever since that option appeared i have this issue :-(.

I have tried to switch it off but the BPM remains unstable. Recently bought a Macbook pro and the problem remains the same.

Really want to use the new versions but this makes it impossible

Thanks in advance

Also the earlier question remains. What's it that you consider to go wrong. Is it the sound is it the gui is it with specific tracks.

Other thing is that the devteam is working with release candidate 3.3. As many things have changed in audio engine and optimization it would be best if you have this as reference.

Please make sure you keep a collection backup as it is not backwards compatible to a that old version.

Hi Daniel,

The problem of the old post is still present :( , made a mistake i 'm using 2.4 version. Any version above creates this problem. Many apologies for the confusion

I gave up last time and kept on using the 2.4 version :( . al the stuff i tried from the earlier post didn't bring an solution. Next i will first view earlier posts and mention these

Hi Rojec

It's with all tracks, sound and visually (all styles btw, quality mostly wav & some mp3 320) . Don't understand what u mean with gui :?:

But i will check the 3.3 version to see if the problem remains.

I have my collection of music in an document map, if u mean things like que points these are already gone since i got the new laptop  .

Are there perhaps standards for configuration, as in buffer size etc ?

Thanks for the quick response

Hi Sayco, good to know it is a more recent version. Nevertheless still not really clear what the issue is.
The way I understand/think your issue would be that the track has noticable irregular speed, where as the beat should be steady.

As this has not been reported by others you either noticed a specific bug, or have something in your setup that causes this.

The only thing I see as related would be having a to low audio buffer size or having to many other processes running.

Do you use the ASIO driver (Win)and the Core (mac). If it is latency than increasing the buffer will help. Just go high for starters and check for some time. After this go down step by step.

Cross is feasible of running 1 ms; I have 1.1 at my PC. But it is depending sc capability.

gui= graphical user interface; the graphical representation of the program.

Hi Rojec

Played with the buffer size for an hour or so but it doesn't bring any improvement :(

With the dell LT (windows 7 i5) i needed to use an extra driver such as U46MK2 v3.0, with the mac i didn't need no driver, 2.4 is working perfectly.

Can it be the turntables ? Or is that not possible since 2.4 is steady. OR might it be the u46mk2, and if it so are there newer versions actually ?

Are you using a time code setup. . May be a different story. .

First try using without tt connected.

Yes i'm using the time code setup with vinyl. When i use the program without the vinyl & u46mk2 there's no problem.

What can this be ? Turntables seems strange to me since i don't have it when using the 2.4 version :-(.

Don't know to much on tc. So someone with experience might have to help you out now your info shows it's a tc issue.

It might have to do with the mode of the deck. Maybe changing this would do it. (introduction of hybrid mode that doesn't work with tc or so....)
