could 2 CDJs and a kontrol F1 (or similar unit with built in sound card) be used together?

Basically I want today add an extra deck or two, without going down he extra CDJ route.

Not sure about the details for your hardware, but generally you can.

Soundcards can be combined in Asio4all (win) or aggregate Core audio (mac) if needed.

You can hookup max 8 MIDI devices. I think (but not sure) you can also use HID for applicable CDJ's.

I am thinking of supplementing my CDJ's with a decent low latency USB sound card. Am I right in thinking I can still use my CDJ's as direct HID controllers, but route the audio through a dedicated USB sound card as well ?

not sure if you know but the Kontrol F1 don't have a built in sound card. And it works in a different way then most other MIDI controllers so you will not be able to map the LED's on it with Cross

Thanks - I had noticed that yesterday, and think I was probably getting mixed up with the A&H Xone K1 which does have a soundcard, which I figure should be able to work in the way I hope it to ? :?:

you will need to get the xone k2 because the k1 is the cheeper new version without sound card
