If you activate slip mode in 3.1.2 it does not apply to scratching when using timecode.
Is this a bug?

Problem is there, both in 3.1.2 and the new RC.
Activated slip mode via keyboard shortcut, player shows "SLIP" text, scratch, song plays form scratch point rather than picking up where it should have been...

Hi,
If i remember well, slip mode doesn't apply to time code scratching, only to locators, loops and MIDI scratching.
I think it was spécified in the change log of the version which introduced slipmode.
But imight be wrong.
Have a nice day :)

Hmm, can anyone confirm?
If true I think this behaviour needs to be changed....

We are proud to announce the latest version of Cross, Cross 2.3.0.

Here are the main features you will find in this new update:
- Plug & Play HID support for Pioneer CDJ2000nexus, CDJ2000, CDJ900, 850, 400 and 350.
- "Slip" feature - enjoyable with loops, locators, MIDI scratch and reverse actions of each player : keep up with your groove whatever FXs you do.

Seems like behavior is as designed. Knowing this means it has for sure become a suggestion and not a bug.

So it is up to the devteam to decide if it is feasible. I guess the main issue if tc signal can be more or less 'overruled' to get the scratching switch to 'master' track while keeping the beat smooth...
(where as the other slip mode supported functions are performed on a copied piece of the master track often with snap and quantize enabled to get it as smooth as possible).

Let me rephrase this...
Does slip mode work on scratches in MIDI or HID mode?
A CDJ with slip mode activated will also do it when scratching so I guess Cross should to?

The reason I bumped into this is my recent encounter with some new CDJs whereas I still have antique CDJ-800mkII's which I still love because of 'Quick Return', wanted to play with slip mode and found it to behave differently.
Open source XWAX also does slip mode on scratches so it can be done.
I haven't used any of the other major software products so I can't compare...

That would indeed be something different. HID support was implemented in a later version (think 3.x), so don't know how slip was implemented there. From the text MIDI should work, though likely you prefer running in HID mode.

Ultimately I think slip mode should work identical in any mode (tc,MIDI or hid).
Consider this a feature request. ;)
