iTunes doesn't fully update

I haven't changed the location of anything in iTunes and just this past week created a bunch of new iTunes playlists. These playlists DON'T show up in Cross DJ for some reason. Is there a RESET to force it to read ALL of the playlists?

I hardly use iTunes since using Cross...
Nevertheless; did you click the refresh? did you try reopening the iTunes library?

You do mean they don't show up in the iTunes node in Cross, as the Cross Collection is not automatically updated when iTunes is updated.

Are you using 3.2 and what OS as well as what version of iTunes (they keep on changing..). Are it playlists or smartlists you're having trouble with.

Yes.

It's odd. The correct number of overall tracks is listed, but the last 10 or so playlists don't display.

All the latest. Don't know what a smartlist is. In iTunes they're playlists.

Are you talking about "smart playlists" in iTunes? If so, no, I'm not talking about them.

Actually I MEANT to say... "the last 10 playlists I've created in iTunes recently...." don't display. So I have no access to adding them to be used in Cross.

I did mean Smart playlist. Vaguely remember something that you had to select something general to make it work (like type is music or so). But as you don't use them...

Are you on MAC or Win. Don't think I can further help you (basically I suggested things you already did) but quite relevant for developers to know.

I found a similar, known problem with iTunes not exporting to its xml file anymore on Apple's forum[1]. This is an old issue with iTunes and can be related to non-standard characters in some tracks' tags. There is an interesting method near the end of the third page (look for the post from DennisO.).

Don't think that's the problem, as I can bring up algoriddim djay software and it all comes up fine (reading the XML file). I'm beginning to think it's a bug in Cross but have no way to narrow that down.

I just checked the XML file with a text editor and the iTunes playlists I created that don't show up now in Cross, are indeed there.

Why isn't anyone getting back to me with a solution? Is this a confirmed bug in Cross DJ?
