Knobs Returning to Original State. Unknown Crashes

Hello forum,

Today I have two issues:

First issue is I want to know if there is a way for the knobs in Cross to return to their original state. For example, if I am controlling an effect with XY pad or something, is it then possible for the knobs on the effect to return to zero once I let go of the XY pad? I assume there is a way because if its a touch pad transmitting data, then the CC data should either stop or return to zero when you don't give it any data. Let me know if you need more examples for this one.

Second issue. Lately I have been experiencing some crashes after using the program for about 30 mins or so. I am running Cross 3.1 on Windows 7. Let me know if you need more details on this one.

Thanks again everyone!

Can't tell about restting knobs.

If your program crashes after a certain time it might be a system task starting after a certain period. Would be typical for update checks or av(etc) updates.

It depends on your controller, most controllers with XY pads allow you to set up the response in locked mode or return mode.
In locked mode the last message is the last CC value while in return mode the last message value 00. This is done on your controller settings.

Thank you for the replies. Currently, I want to use the Numark Orbit with some knobs. On the Orbit, there are two accelerametors, one X axis and one Y axis. I want to use the Y axis for the dual filter on deck A and then the X axis for dual filter on deck B. The nice thing is that you can let go of the triggers that activate the accelerameters and they will turn off. I would like for the dual filters to return to zero when you let go of the triggers. I will check to see if there is some sort of way for the Orbit to send a CC signal of 0 on trigger release. Let me know if you have any more questions or answers.
