CDJ's not connecting reliably

Hi, I'm using Cross 3.1.0 on laptop with 2x CDJ 350s.

Often I have issues like the following;

1) Sometimes deck B wont show up as a selection on the right CDJ. I have to shut everything down or unplug USB leads and re-connect. Something odd going on with that.

2) Everytime I boot up Cross, it seems to switch back to laptop speaker as default output. Can it not remember what I used last time ?

I had one freeze the other day, the audio kept playing, but the software just locked up completely. Does it write out crash dumps in this situation or anything ?

thanks,
Richard.

Could it be your laptop is getting out of sleep or hybernate or some like that.
Then it is an issue with drivers. The connection somehow was lost between program and driver and/or the connection between driver and connected device.

Cross only detects at startup. It you used a fixed setup this could be it. For mobile, you could try to use same USB port per device each time. This in most cases fastens device detection (by windows) as no install activity is needed. Also here make sure devices are 'installed' before Cross is started.

Please let's know if this doesn't fit your situation.

Well I do unplug the laptop from the USB cables and such like.

I will try connecting them and having the CDJ's on in control mode before starting Cross next time and see if it fixes it.
