New SilverCrest SDJ 100 A1 mapping problem

1000x1000.jpg
Hello everybody. I just working on new mapping, found some problem and I can't find a solution.
Here is my case: I have controller as above. It has few back lighted keys such as "play", "cue", "rev", "sync", "hot1" and "hot2" for each of two decks. Because I've got Korg nanoPAD also (for hotcues and bi dimentional FX control), I wanted to use "hot2" key as shift togglers to use jogs and other kesy for Cross decks C and D. I made new assigment for "hot2", modified xml mapping file for correct toggling "hot2" backlight indication and than tried to do it for other backlights. Unfortunatelly it doesn't work when controller is in shift mode. When shift is on I can use all of mapped keys for players C or D, but there is no correct reactions of backlights. When shift is toggled to off, backlights shows correct state of deck A or B.

Has anybody some experience with this problem? Maybe not exactly witch this controller, but some any other? I think that is some Cross issue and aplication does not return correct deck states when any shift is pressed/toggled.

P.S. I have ready new mapping and scene setup for Korg nanoPAD also and I would like to share it in download. Does anybody know how to do it?
I have also Korg nanoKONTROL and my mapping is almost done.

When you use shift logic, you must map your lights for every case.
For example:

For the sake of simplicity I am using generic names.
Command A is active and LED # 10 is map to light up when command A is active. And it is all is well.

Then you have another button turns on shift logic # 1. While shift logic 1 is active your LED does not work.
That pretty much sums up your situation.

This happens because LED #10 is only mapped to work when there is no shift logic activated.

If you want the LED to always work, you need to add a map to account for the shifted condition.

So add maps go the true and false conditions with

modifier='ML1' or whichever shifted logic you used.

I did mapping for lights in shift condition, but it works wrong. F.e most interested "sync" light behaves in two ways: turns of in shift mode or blinks "crazy" trying to indicate beat of deck A and C at the same time.

I'll try to cut out part of my mapping later and show it here to find my mistake.

Original mapping works fine, but I would like to modify to my conditions.
I work on latest version of Cross DJ 3.1.0

What MIDI mapping utility are You talking about? I was searching Download section and did'n find anything like that.

I'll try to cut out part of my mapping later and show it here to find my mistake.

What you describing is a clash situation that happens when two different commands are trying to light up the same LED because the LED is mapped to all conditions.

Example: Some assumptions made to illustrate the point
Say that you are trying to switch between player 1 (A) and player 3 (C).
There is also a button that when pressed it activates shift logic 1 (ML1) in order to control player 3.

At this point you switched from player 1 to player 3 and your sync LED for player 1 is mapped to:
1. work with no condition for player 1.
2. work with condition ML1 for player 1.
3. work with no condition for player 3.
4. work with condition ML1 for player 3.

This mapping will behave exactly as you described. The same LED is mapped to work under player 3 control using ML1.
There is a clash.

In order to make it work correctly your sync LED must be mapped to:
1. Work with not condition for player 1
2. Work with ML1 condition for player 3

In this way if you are in player 1
sync LED works
Then switch to player 3 by using your ML1 switch
Sync LED turn off momentarily and then starts displaying according to the control commands of player 3
Then you switch back to player 1.
Sync LED turn off momentarily and then starts displaying according to the control commands of player 1.
