Hey everyone, this is my first post and I have spent two days looking at the forums and I cannot find the information I am looking for.

I purchased Cross DJ ver 3.1.2 from the App store.

I am running the software on the MacBookAir.

I purchased the software for the purpose of doing video mixing and was very excited to find this on the store. After installing the application I have NOT been able to display any video what so ever. I have confirmed that the video files do work.

Specifically what I am experiencing is, when I drag a file into a channel to play it, the video file displays as if it were an audio file only.

I have registered my software on this website however, as I purchased the software from the App store I did not receive an opportunity to put some kind of registration key in the application itself. (perhaps this is the issue)

I HAVE sent a copy of my receipt from iTunes to the email address that was listed and have not received a response.

There was a person that posted some very disturbing information in this topic. The statement is that Cross DJ does not support video playback. Before I flip out I would like to get that confirmed. This was the very reason I purchased the software. It is listed as a base feature and functionality of the software on both the app store and the mix vibes website under the compare products page.

Please provide assistance/ tutorials as to how to get video playback set up.

Hi. Welcome to MixVibes. Seems you did the right action to get registered. Likely it will be processed soon.
You now posted in the release candidate forum. Understandable but not the best place. We will reply here so it is sure you can read the replies.
Did you setup a second monitor yet.
All Cross versions play video.
If in Preferences /Video the option seperate av loading is enabled you need to make sure that you do not load in the audio only deck part. You may notice the markers on the deck show where you load. Full deck audio deck or video deck. For starters disable this option. Until you need it.
In Cross DJ you do not have video sampling in the sample deck. This is only in the Cross (full) version. When sep av loading enabled and security in General disabled you can change video while audio playback.
A more basic problem might be that you due to register issue did not download the right versio but only the Cross free. If so this has to be the starting thing to address ...

is this version of Cross DJ the same as Cross DJ ,, ( not directed at you michael),,also see a Vfx software badge,, meaning that the vid plug in is also being used
michael have you gone to preferences /video and check that the vid plug in is active ,, ie a box to check mark ,,

To answer your questions.

1.) I do not see any Vfx software badge anywhere on the start up splash screen or in the software tab that mentions "About Cross DJ" so I can't give you any details on that specifically.

2.)I have looked at preferences dozens of times. My options are only "General, Audio, Display, Recording, Keyboard, MIDI, and Remote". I have looked extensively in each tab and the word "video" is not used on any of the tabs anywhere in this version of the software, so I do not see any option to change nor is there a box to check.

I appreciate you attempting to take a look at this.

Thank you for trying to help! In the version that I have on my machine, there is no /video option. I have no element option to enable or disable. There are only audio markers on the deck.

If needed I can take a screenshot of my options under preferences and post them up for folks to see but this is not a feature.

I did not install the free version although it is available on the app store. I really do appreciate folks trying to help.

My larger concern is that the version that is available for download on the app store would provide the same issue for another customer. I hope that someone from the company does have a chance to download the application that is currently available and verify that the release does not support video.

not familiar with the version you are running from the app store ,,,,to help figure it out can you post screen shots of the mentioned settings tab,,
the software badge thats on the side of your postings is a Vfx badge ,,used when the video plug in is regerstered ,,the app store version doesnt have a software badge ,, details on where and what app was purched ,, there was a offer for a regular licence depending on what app was purched ,, will post a link and see if that fits the bill ,,might be a recourse ,,

I am following you on the Vfx piece now. When I couldn't get the software I purchased on the App store to work, I decided to try and buy the the video plug in. When that didn't work, I tried to register the software but was only able to register the plug in which I purchased from the mixvibes website.

I now understand from reading the post that the plug in just removed the watermark (if I could only get it to play video to watermark in the first place)

you are in the r c topic pages ,,i can even post a attachment here ,, does the link give you any chance to get a full licence of Cross DJ ,,do you fall in the requirments ,, one option if its avaible,,,
