MV 3.1 recent update

Hello,
I got new update working fine on laptop alone, but, when connecting the UM CONTROL PRO I am having issues.

in preferences:
I can select from dropdown
Speakers (Conexant Pebble High Definition Smart..)
and I can control laptop speakers using UMCPRO.

but, when I try to select from drop down.
Speakers (MixVibes U-Mix Control Pro)
I get the following popup error.
[Error while opening "Speakers MixVibes....PRO"
Error opening Speakers (Conexant Pebble High Definition Smart Audio": Bad format."

I tried all different option in MIDI selections but get same error.

please help.

You need to install the U-Mix Control Pro ASIO driver ([PC] [WIN XP, VISTA, SEVEN] U-Mix Control Pro / Pro2 1.0.5 Volume Panel).

I tried to load this , but got the error "U-Mix ...PRO 1.0.5 installer already running"

I made sure U-Mix Cross was closed.
I rebooted. still get same error.
I disconnected controller and get same error.

I tried to go back to 2.5 version but does not work now.

3.1 version lets me use all controls from CONTROL PRO, FX, loops,cue,play,vol. treb,mid,bass options etc.. but only if I select
Speakers(conexant .. option) and I can only hear laptop speakers
not
Speakers ( U-Mix.. option.

should I uninstall 3.1 and re-install 2.5
un-install 2.5 and try reload 3.1


any help would be appreciated..

uninstalled both versions and re-installed 3.1 but still have same issue when trying to select

You should not select "Speakers (mixvibes U-Mix Control Pro)".
You must use the ASIO driver.
If the ASIO driver were installed, you wouldn't even see this "Speakers" in the list.

Absolutely no idea why the driver installer keeps on telling you it's already running. We ran it on many machines and never had such an issue...

:cool: no this isnt closed till you get it running ,, what things have you tried in attemps to get it running ,,need info to help you get it sorted

Did you try to kill the installation of the driver.
From the info it seems you do not have a problem with Cross, so reinstall is not of any use, as Cross checks for soundcards on every start.

The focus should be to get the audio drivers installed.
Did you reboot your PC already? Likely this will kill the process, but might be good to know if it is restarted after a reboot...

I have posted everything I have tried so far.
I have rebooted multiple times. I shut down my laptop at night
and turn it back on next day as well.

RoJeC- I actually looked through
Task Manager ->Processes and Services
but cannot see anything that I can stop that looks like
U-Mix driver installer.

keeping Task Manager open as I try this:
closed all other Applications
open Windows Downloads folder -- I see status as running
right-click .exe to "Run as Administrator" --
see U-Mix Control Pro 1.0.5 setup status running but this is
the PopUp that says "...installer already running"
I [EndTask] in Task Manager and PopUp closes.
