As you can see in the following screenshot my analyze button is disabled and the software is not telling me the keys for the songs.

I know that it works in the "collection" mode, but can't it work under the file browser mode also?

Anyway, I'll go read the manual ...

 that screen shot doesnt show me anything ,, do me a favor and right click on a track and see if there is a selection for anyalse if so the select all and if it starts to anyalise the track then wait for it to finish ,, if the tag info shows up then this is how you anylise your tracks,, now to do all tracks then hit cntl/a together then all tracks will be selected ,,right click again and chose al again ,, wait on process to finish ,, time needed will depend on how many tracks you have ,,

I would want that because for me it will be more easy to work and mix directly from the file browser mode. I keep updating my music folder daily, and it is tiring to update manually the playlist on Cross. I would want Cross playlist to just be my computer folders, if I add a new song to those folder, it would be added automatically to Cross. Hope I made myself clear.

 well dont think it works that way ,,if all your music is in one folder the you can inport file ever day and Cross will add new files to your collection,,once added to your collection then you can anylise the added files ,,this bit of manual mulitiplation allows for you to chose what files you want in your collection ,, some DJ use multiable collections to do different venues and having a automatic file update would be to a disadvantage

Well, I think the method you mention of working is also good for certain conditions. I think Cross DJ should have both ways of work. For example I have an hip hop folder on my computer that I update daily, and as far as I am concerned, this folder is my hip hop playlist, so I wish I could have the key and bpm function for the file browser mode as well. Maybe in the future. :) Thanks for your attention!

 you are confusing two different functions ,, file browser and file anyalising ,, ,,some things are ment to be user defined ,, files you add to the software and files you choose to anyalise,,if you dont want to add them then the software will make more work for you ,, and it will double the time it takes to load a track ,, due to having to anyalise the track before playing ,, thats the work involved in talioring your collection to fit your needs ,,

It would be smart to get some more familiar with using the collection for search and navigation. Using browser mode is understandable but the most rigid and technology slowest way of using.
If you want the ability to work fastest when playing you'd better consider this.
If you want a current playlist in seconds of a certain folder you can either sort by location and right click for new playlist. Or fill left part of location name in search. You can have the search changed by clicking the glass next to it.
It might be good to now that you can drag and drop to collection from explorer as well
Really easy when adding new tracks to disk and directv drop.
