I've just changed from Win7 to Maverick on an iMac. The problem i'm having is the CDJ2000'S won't connect as MIDI and I don't have the showing in the audio setting by that I mean there is only chn 1/2. I've use the agregate tool but still don't get the channels which means only deck A gives out sound
I think the MIDI issue could be down to Mavericks so I'm going to try a fix I searched on Google which is to delete the MIDI files and hope a reset will give a cure. However, I'm lost on the audio setting not giving me the option to select the channel I need.

I'm not upgrading to the full video version if I can't sort out these issues

Cross 3
iMac 27" (2009)
4Gb RAM
1Tb HD
Maverick OS
2 X CDJ2000 nxs latest f/w
DJM2000 nxs latest f/w

Hi,

Check if both devices are showing in both "Audio preferences" and "MIDI preferences" from OSX's "Audio/MIDI preferences".
If they aren't, Cross can't do anything...

Moreover, if you upgraded to Cross (full version), your CDJs would be natively handled in HID, meaning on-screen display and tighter control.
Not sure however you would have the same device recognition issues.

They definetly show in the audio because I used the agregate tool. I need to check if they show in the MIDI setting but I'm sure they do.
I set the audio device to agregat,e set the routing mode to external mixer cue. input chn 1/2 show but the next drop down is empty, the output chns are fine.

Anyone having MIDI issue with Pioneer and Maverick OS might want to read this

I have now resolved my set up issue and upgraded to Cross.
