Hi I'm writing because I have some problems using Cross 3.0.0 with a mac 4gb ram, u46 mkII and Pioneer cdj 1000 with timecode, because sometimes music "jump".
This happens no when I load a song but when it plays so I think is not mac (I use it only for Cross).
Could you pls give me advices?
Could be latency?? or cd players? or settings? or other programs on mac?
This is very imbarassing when happens during a mix of 2 songs.
I thank you in advance
best regards
Giuseppe

It can be many things.
What are your audio settings ?
Default audio settings are 256 samples (buffersize) at 44100Hz (samplerate) and should match your needs.
Getting below is not necessary possible on any machine.

Hi,
at the beginning I tried with 256 and I had problem, so then I changed to 512, just now at the maximum value of 1280 (maximum for me, because over the sound warp) and I have the same problems.
This happens every night and I don't understand what could be. :-(
So I would be sure are not my settings, soundcards or mac (I use it only for Cross; energy saver, wii fii & bloothooth disable always)..
I hope you could help me!
Best regards
G.

You could upgrade to 3.1. Just to make sure it is not an older issue.
You could try for max mem in general preferences.
Not sure it helps, but it excludes causes.

First are you using the Hid or time code CDs?
Dies it happen on one deck or both?
The reasons this happens can be multiple but most commonly comes down to a bad signal going into the computer. Check all connections from cdjs to the soundcard to the computer.
Try a different USB port with the soundcard (I've had an issue where a port became slow)
if you can hook up a different soundcard and see if the problem still exists. (If it doesn't you may have to change your sound card settings or troubleshoot the sound card more)
If not using hid try hid see if it still exists(if it doesn't its likely the CDs)
If after all this it still exists we may have to troubleshoot your computer and memory settings.

Hi,
I try any kind of change but I have always the same problem.
My macbook have the folllowing characteristics:
-IOS 10.9.2 (Maverick)
-2,26 GhZ Intel Core 2 Duo
- 4 GB 1067 Mhz DDR3
I use time code "cd" and version 3.1
When music "jump" I have noted that the processor work a lot!
Could be a problem of minimun requirements?
Do you think is better for my requirements use iOS Lion?
Could you give me some advices?
Thank you a lot
giuseppe

Not knowing to much on MAC, some general tweaks that might help, as your specs have become become lowerend..
- turn off video if possible.
- increase audio buffer if low now.
- max audio cache.

Hi,
I try in differt ways and I believe to solve problem..
but I discover that mac has problem when "Beatmatcher" running.
If I turn off "beatmatcher" mac has no problem... Could "Beatmatcher" affect a lot the processor??
tnx to All.

I only have Windows. Just checked and only notice a minor increase.
Would be worthwhile for devteam to check out if they can duplicate it.
Could you meanwhile give release candidate 3.2 a try, I haven't noticed (or don't remember) a change on this, but it will be better to investigate latest version.
