Disable "Master" on Decks C and D in Sampler Mode?!

Is there a way to prevent the C and D decks becoming from "Master" Decks when using them in sampler mode in Cross 3?

If not, is this something could be implemented?

Any input would be appreciated!

 good :?: :?: ,had occasions when the sampler would become the master and when you went to sync a deck it threw the pitch way off,, not shure if a setting in perferences like sync link would disable it ,,but would it also disable the sync/master deck switching for a/b deck also :?: :?:
 maybe the option in preferences to have it disabled in sample pads c/d ,, when using sampler ,, still keeping the sync buttons for the pads to do it manualy ,,

Sync link makes no difference in how it acts, its a setting that needs to be added in a future release... Unless there is something I'm missing.

Hope to see this rectified soon - Makes using sampler pads much more difficult than necessary, since you can choose how the samples sync with the Master individually. Having a "Master" on the entire sample bank is redundant.

Hi Dan and DJRicoche,

Seems like the same problem I'm having and have posted about in php?f=358&t=32581&start=30 and again in viewtopic.php?f=358&t=32642

Is there any workaround for this issue in the meantime?

Thanks

Your samplers only become master when no player is running anymore.
Why? Because this is a nonsense to have a stopped deck as master. The master is a time reference and time is always running!
Not saying nothing will ever be done to make things simpler in your case, but the current behavior is quite logical and is not intended to be changed in a short time.

That's nor redundant at all. The sampler has it's own clock. This clock can me master or not. Each pad can be synced to the sampler's clock, not to the master.
Once more, nothing's perfect, but this is logical, and from what I know, nothing's planned in a short time.

Actually "MASTER" refers to the BPM - if you trigger a sample during a transition, the sampler becomes the master, even though that's not what I may want. I don't need Name drops and other things that have LOW or HIGH BPM's to take over the MASTER BPM, which is what this is causing. We should have the ability to prevent those decks from becoming Master decks - it can really screw up a mix if it switches and it's not caught before hand...

It's not a far fetched idea, and clearly I am not the only one having the issue.

Unfortunately there is no workaround that I have come across, and based on the reply, it doesn't seem like there is a resolution coming anytime soon, unless more of us demand it.

I don't see what the big deal would be add an option to "lock" decks "A" and "B" as the only two that can be a master when using sampler pads... not all of us want our samples to take over control of our mixes...

you mention that C or D become master on triggering a pad while in a transition.
Do you mean a transition by crossfader from A to B (which could be a bug) or do you mean you use the sampler pad to 'bridge' your transition, following e.g deck A to C to B.
And are your running manual (I think) or autoplay.
