Hey Everyone,

Consistantly I get 1 to 2 crashes every night I work, 3 times a week. I have music in my decks to back up so its not a total wash. I have been trying to examine the video files that make Cross 3.0 crash and I can't find a unified trait. Here is a link to a file that crashes 3.0 everytime. Maybe the dev team can find out why. Thanks!

Hey,

could you please give us some more details also what OS you are running and what the specs are from the computer. Also where is the file stored on? external or internal storage?

I tested your file on an MacBook Air with Mavericks and it was running without any issue.

So please give us some more details. And keep the file online so that some of the Developers can get a look on it also.

Thanks
Christian

Specs are there to function properly.

Make sure you have disabled energy/powersaving settings for the HDD, as well as the USB ports.
Use external powersupply for HDD if possible. If not make sure you use a USB port with full power, not a shared one. An external HDD requires max energy of USB port some need even 2 ports (using Y cable).
Alternatively use a powered USB hub to supply the HDD USB power (check specs of USB hub before buying for both power as usb3).

Generally if files cause trouble more than once, provide them to the team. They have the tools to figure out if it is something that could occur for other files and have Cross handle it.

Thank you RoJeC,

All of my external settings are set. I am using hard drives with their own power supply and a USB 3 hub with its own power supply. USB setting s are disabled for sleep.

Its not an external issue. I moved that video file to my desktop, loaded it, and it froze. Loading with controller, freeze. Loaded with mouse, freeze.

Should I install a codec pack into my computer?
