Tracks in Playlist disappeared!

I was using Cross on Saturday and when I would move from playlist to playlist, occasionally the tracks in the playlist would not appear.

I had to go out of the playlist, into a different one and then back into it to see the tracks.

This happened several times throughout the night.

Also, the inability to search all my tracks from the search area is becoming more and more a problem. The more i use the software, the more I realize that global search is very important.

Depending on a few causes delays may occur. I can imagine you did not wait for that every time once it seemed to be reoccuring. Sometimes 'activating' seems to be done by going back and forward, whereas waiting another second would have been faster.

The general causes for delay are:
- energy saving for CPU
- energy saving for HDD (and/or USB for external HDD)

- Database size: the larger the db the more time queries take (which your playlists are in the program)

- In your recent topic you mentioned an 'all track' playlist. Just deleting this might save you appx 60k playlist records.

If you have to switch between playlists and more general search often to me it seems like the playlists are too narrowed down, given the ability to quickly search with Cross especially with the column browser for album/artist/genre.

Also the further exploration of smartlists likely is going to help you out some more.

EDIT: not meaning to step over your experience of invisible playlists, just trying to explain what could cause the same ezperience and how to avoid.
