Hi Guys,

Trying to get into Video mixing now due to popular demand here. My Set up is 1 DJM-900 Nexus & 2CDJ-2000 Nexus using Cross 3.0. Is there any available documentation on the set up. I want to uses the sliders on the mixer as I do with music to mix. not sure if it's clear.

Thanks
Sergio d

Haha !

But you're living in Laval ;)

Anyway, about your questions:

In Cross 3.0, CDJs will be natively handled (HID).
HID setup is explained here: http://mixvibes.com/sites/default/theme ... setup.html

To have your DJM faders control video, you need to connect it to your computer so that it's recognized as MIDI device in Cross.
Then, create a new MIDI mapping in the MIDI preferences page ('+' button at the bottom left) and map the faders to the video volumes/crossfader commands:
- 'Video Only crossfader'
- 'Channel A Video Only Volume' and 'Channel B Video Only Volume'

Hope this helps!

Okay, when I click on MIDI in the preferences, the Tab already reads DJM-900 and is a check mark on MIDI IN & OUT and also indicated online. Have I missed something. :?: :?: :?: Cross works fine & sweet as Music mixing.

This means DJM-900 is recognized as a MIDI device by Cross and enabled.
But, this doesn't mean there's a MIDI mapping for it!
Look at the controller list in the DJM-900 tab, I guess nothing is selected because we have no built-in MIDI mapping for it. That's where you should press '+' at the bottom left to make your own MIDI mapping.
Hope this is clearer ;)

Right, now I get it... But there is a MIDI Mapping for a DJM-2000. I wonder why not for the DJM-900. Strange..

Because we can't do mappings for all the devices available in the market, that would take years :)

But every MIDI device is mappable in Cross.

However, I don't think the DJM2000 mapping will help a lot, as it has been done (sometimes ago) to use the touch screen and not the faders.

So then, can I assume that there will never be mapping for a DJM-900???

There will be a MIDI map for the djm 900 ...if you make it and post it up for all to us to use

MIDI mapping is easy.......the good thing about mapping your MIDI your self is ,you will only map the things you need in the software
