I have an extra Cpu and my sound is going to the line in of the cpu. it is coming from the record output of my external mixer to the line in of the computer I record on.

Should be no issues as long as the levels are set correctly going out of and into the other computer. Do you have the ability to check what the levels look like on the recording computer's input?

I got the quality where I want it. I now hear the clicks and subtle pops that leads me to believe that it might have something to do with buffer size or latency. The confusing part is as I hear it coming from the line in audio of the CPU..its sounds fine. When I record in audacity it sounds fine. It'd something to do with upstream.

If you don't get any pops in audacity, it's ustream. Another thing you could try is Mixlr, another streaming program, and see if there are any pops on that. I would guess it's your ustream, if you have clear input otherwise

I think your right. I even tried a different sound card. It is Ustream. I'll pull on them for support. Thanks everyone.

also try(make sure) to use one electrical power group/phase and same grounding (=same power socket) for all audio equipment connected via analogue audio cabling. And keep audio cables clear from power cables and other grounding.
If laptop involved, check internal mic is off.

Won't fix software problems ..

Great to see you expand your Cross usage.

Flash live media encoder solved the problem.
