Hello

For the second time in as many weeks, Cross 3.0 crashed during a gig..
I have never had this problem....at all up to 2.6...
I asked a week ago for the location of the crash report with no answer given. I searched the manual for help and could not find.
can any one help?

Unfortunately, on windows, there's no way to have a crash report with release Cross version.

If you encountered crash on windows, the best thing to do is try to remember the kind of action you were doing at this moment so that we can try to reproduce it.

If I can remember correctly...I think I was cueing in the monitor to play the next song....I was playing an .AVI video in player A and cueing an mp3 file in B. I have Quneo and sometimes I use the mouse to perform the same actions.
I stated earlier that since I have 3.0 this happened. I had been using previous versions with this computer with 0 crashes...So I guess I will go back and check for updated drivers, latency, and the like....I guess the difference in versions is the reason?
If you have suggestions please me know! BTW I haven't updated to Win 8.1...is that suggested?

No, I just got the Windows report.....I can't remember exactly what it said, sorry, but it did say something about Cross.exe!

Also had 3.0 crash on me today, I think it did when I loaded up a song. Will need to investigate and try to reproduce. I got the regular Windows error msg "Cross DJ 3.0.0 has stopped working".

crashed again tonight...i was loading a different mp3 file thsn yesterday..i analyzed all files peak prior to using 3.0. seems me and discopex has the quneo in common? hmmm.

Ok once again 3.0 has crashed on me today while loading a song!

I have reverted back to 2.6 to do my Fri and Sat gigs with no crashes last weekend.

Today while messing around with mixing songs I find that the latency (in my ear) is different when cueing songs between 2.6 and 3.0!

When repeating a cue point during 3.0 sometimes the bass hits and sometimes it doesn't...I moved the cue point around the note to see if perhaps the grid was wrong. And there seems to be a delay in the latency when using both the quneo and the mouse....this delay is not evident on 2.6. I have disconnected the quneo to see if it was the problem, but to no avail....I tried a different track with the same results...In 2.6 the sound is as expected but not so in 3.0

My sound card says I have .7ms (32 samples...I have never tweaked this since I have this new laptop for almost a year ...Can you help me figure this out!

Upgrading to W8.1 is basically fixing issues MS detected in 8.0. I had to install some fixes in 8 to have some audio issues resolved. So my suggestion is to upgrade to 8.1.
Just make sure you have some time for this.
After this I would reinstall all soundcard drivers to make sure you're not running MS default replacements.

Give your specs I suppose you run 64-bit??

the problem has cleared..unsure why! But still..the problem was only in 3.0...not 2.6! my specs are in my signature...Ill install and keep my eye on it...yes on 64
