MIDI Map Cdj-950 or 2000 in Hid mode?

Hey guys! Just wondering if you can change any of the mappings in the Cdj-950 or 2000 when the players are in HID mode in Cross. When I plug the USB in and link it just gives me the option of what deck to link it to (A, B, C, D) but I can't change any mappings. Can it be done while in HID mode? If so how?
Example I want the play button to execute the sync feature on Cdj 2000 or 950.
