Gemini first mix i/o sound issue. Please help!

Postby bhsevans on 28 Dec 2013, 22:11

Hi there,

Please could someone help.

I have a macbook air connected to a Gemini first mix i/o, then connected from the firstmix I have some 2.1 computer speakers.

I have tried to configure it in Mixvibes preferences but so far cannot get sound from the speakers.

The firstmix is working with the mixvibes crossdj no problem and the sound will come from the mac if I select internal speakers.

But I cannot get the external speakers to work at all.

Have looked through the forum but not found anything that helps.

My only thought is that when the firstmix is plugged in via the usb to the mac I have no recognition of it. nothing appears in finder. Although crossdj does find it and it is selected in preferences.
I wondered if it was a driver issue?

Any help greatly appreciated
Many thanks
Ben

Thanks Daniel,

I did see that thread. There is no way of knowing if the Firstmix should plug and play and indeed has done just that or if there should be more drivers automatically downloaded on first connection.

Trouble is I am still left with a 'paperweight' either way.

Thanks for the help
