Video Plug in Audio/Video Control Setup

I have searched, and perhaps I am just not finding it. Is there a way to set up Cross in a way that lets the Audio faders control ONLY audio? By default they fade the video and audio in and out at the same time, which does not alow fine adjustment of audio without slightly fade the video out (or in depending).

I am using a Vestax VCI-400 with the default mappings -

What I would like to be able to do:

Audio Faders control ONLY Audio (No Video)
Crossfader controls ONLY Video

I thought I could solve this through remapping the controls, but the video always fades with the audio when using the audio faders. I did successfully get the crossfader to fade ONLY video, but it's seperating the Video from the Audio controls that I can't seem to figure out.

Any insight would be appreciated!

"On the menu bar, there is a menu for "A+V", "A" and "V". If you put it to "A", I believe that your issue will be solved."

This was my first answer, but after checking the video plugin, I have noticed that that menu selection is gone. I don't have an answer cause I can't find the setting that used to be there.

Second correction. If you aren't in external mixer mode, there is a setting that selects what the upfaders control. So it is there as along as you aren't in external mixer mode. I run in external mixer mode.

I have an off the wall solution, but try going into "Simple Stereo" and selecting "audio", then go into external mixer mode and see if that corrects it. Might have to do with latching settings or something.

There are several commands that can be mapped to separate the audio and video interaction in the volume faders and the crossfader.

I listed them below.

In&Out fam(Video)[0x1].AudioOnlyCrossFade (Normal) == "Audio Only Crossfader (Bypass State Mode)"
In&Out fam(Video)[0x1].VideoOnlyCrossFade (Normal) == "Video Only Crossfader (Bypass State Mode)"
In&Out fam(Video)[0x1].AudioOnlyVolumeFadeA (Normal) == "Player A Audio Only Volume (Bypass State Mode)"
In&Out fam(Video)[0x1].VideoOnlyVolumeFadeA (Normal) == "Player A Video Only Volume (Bypass State Mode)"
In&Out fam(Video)[0x1].AudioOnlyVolumeFadeB (Normal) == "Player B Audio Only Volume (Bypass State Mode)"
In&Out fam(Video)[0x1].VideoOnlyVolumeFadeB (Normal) == "Player B Video Only Volume (Bypass State Mode)"

The "A+V", "A" and "V" you refer to is still there, it's at the top by the master VU meters. I tried changing those around and they didn't do much if I recall.

I'll have to check which mode I am running in. I'm still trying t acclimate to my VCI-400 & all the buttons and knobs/faders. I'm not even sure which "mode" it is running in - I will have to check (if I can figure out where to look) when I get home.

Also, I believe switching to "simple stereo" will eliminate my ability to listen in PFL, so that's a no go for me.

Yeah, I was just thinking that maybe because the mode was selected in simple stereo, it might have a bug that carries over to external mixer mode. If you map it as AudioOnlyFader and VideoOnlyFader, one would think that it would respond how you want, but there might be a bug, or settings issue.
