Hi,

I am having a lot of issues when attempting to use a Numark N4 controller. As soon as I try and load a song the program crashes. If it manages to load and I play it, the program crashes again. The N4 also doesn't appear under the correct heading in sound, it doesn't seem to recognise the sound card.

Anything I can do to fix it? I don't want to resort to Virtual DJ.

gonna need some more info ,, screens shots of the audio config ,,sc set up ,,what MIDI mapping you are useing etc any info to help you resolve this ,, dont worry about the other software untill you get get Cross running

I'm not using any MIDI maps other than the default. I just plugged it in and left it for a bit. I have uploaded screen shots.

Just tried it again and all seems to work! No idea what was happening. It could be my laptop. I'm glad it does, Cross is so much better than the other options!

After more use I have found problems with the mapping for the N4. 4 deck mode doesn't work with the controller, you can switch between 1 and 3 but 2 and 4 seem to change 1 and 3 again, but the light doesn't change so you have no idea what deck you are using. Also there seems to be no cue at all. You can only listen to the master.

The switch deck A/C and Deck B/D are hardware. This is not a problem of mapping, because it is not programmed.
Only The leds of the switch button are mapped.

So you have a problem with your controller : config, drivers ...

The switch deck works in other programs, but in Cross DJ Deck 1/3 button switches decks 1 and 3, correctly, but Deck 2/4 switches deck 1/3 and 2/4 at the same time whilst the light does not change. Audio config is also an issue, I seem to need to use ASIO4ALL to enable cue but the program keeps crashing.

Virtual DJ and Serato are not an option, Cross DJ is so much better, so I really want to get this working!

The deck switch buttons now work correctly, but the lights no longer do and cue doesn't work at all. I am not sure I have set up audio correctly though.

I seem to be really unlucky, now Cross DJ won't even start. I click the icon, run it manually, nothing. I think I am going to use Cross 2.4 and map it myself.
