Hi all,

Ive had a break for while and find i spontaneously suggested i DJ at a friends birthday tomorrow, turn on my setup for the first time in a while and find i cant remember key things!!

Help me please!! I am intending to use two speaker set ups - a master to be placed in the room and monitors to be placed with me.

Having a very quick practice run the master works fine but the monitors play the mix as in my headphones so they play the cueing up and all the unnecessary that everyone else doenst need to hear!

Can you help - can i run all outputs with the master sound - it sounds terrible!

To add to the issue i only have a couple of hours this evening to get this working!

I cannot quite rememebr which Cross version i am running, maybe 2.1? I have not updated to 2.5 as i do not have the time!

Many thanks

Amanda

:D

 have you checked your audio settings in preferences ,,(internal mixer mode)
are the control knobs on the gui in the proper postion ,,cue /mix
also are they correct on the controller ,,
:?: did you have this set up working at any point in time
:?: :?: are you trying to have the 3/4 output off the controller play the master out,, :?: :?:

I will try and answer from memory as i am not with my decks right now!

- I have never had two speaker sets working (never had the need to try so far)
- Pretty sure i had internal mixer set with dual stereo
- Was playing around with the cue/mix dial but of course that was effecting what i could hear in my headphones
- Yes i am trying to use all outputs from the back of Control Pro 2 - one for master one for monitor speakers

I did notice the 'cue' dial in the software on my laptop screen was turned right up and i couldnt figure a way of moving it - i moved all the dials on the controller but they didnt change it.

  if i understand correct ,,two sets of speakers need to play the master out ,, :?: and you still want to have monitor function to listen to the mix in your headphones :?: :?: not possible with the U-Mix Control Pro 2 ,, suggest you use the 1/2 and either y cable connect to the speakers /amp ,,or connect to your amp and seperate it that way ,by either using a line out put off the amp or if the amp can send two sets of speaker outputs
when you get around your set up check the aidio settings especialy the diagram for the output routings ,,
a little bit more info as to the desired set up and equiptment to help with possibilities
oh yeah ,,place the mouse over the gui control for cue mix ,,volume and master and you should be able to adjust thease knobs in the software

Many thanks - i took my lunchbreak to get a phono splitter! Lets hope it works

Is it a bit odd that the monitor/cue output plays exactly what i hear in my headphones?? Who wants to hear that out loud??!

Bit dissapointed on that one
