Error whilst opening "Mixvibes ASIO U-Mix Control Pro"

Ok, I'm getting fed up with this. I start up Cross DJ (latest version) and I still get Error while opening "Mixvibes ASIO U-Mix Control Pro" Your device is already in use by some other processes. Quit them all and retry.
What the hell is going on here? I have tried every trick in the book but the error message still comes up.
It is driving me mad and I am considering forgetting about digital DJing altogether as it just seems to be one problem after another.
Do you think this is a windows 8 problem as when I had Vista I had no problems at all. Is Cross DJ too unstable for Windows 8?

Uncheck the U-Mix Control Pro from Windows Audio settings.

Problem Solved. I had tried everything to sort this problem out and eventually gave up and performed a system refresh in Windows 8. Well, I lost a few programmes that I had installed including Cross DJ but I re-installed it via the Mixvibes website and it now works perfectly.
I can only assume that another programme that I had installed was conflicting with Cross DJ but I just couldnt find it.
I am happy now. :D
