Ok let me some up the things...
Macbook Pro 13 2.53 core 2 duo 4gb ram ddr3....

That's annoying and i can understand why the hell when you are loading a track via anything,external drives,internal, sd cards...every single thing...if the damm track wasn't already analyze the Cross cause audio drop outs cracks and for jesus...do we have to have all the crates prepare before a gig????????if i remember a song during a set and i put on a flash drive or a pen i have to pray to Cross do not do a drop out....
This weekend almost 1000 people i remember 2 songs have to put on my pen drive...and result????anyone guess???a drop out....in the middle of a set...why that?is my machine?...why?...
oh one more thing....gear i play 1 allen & heath k2, an NI audio 4...use aggregate in mac to join k2 and NI sound card...into external mixer, k2 function as my 4 decks controller and for fx and loop...

You can analyze before load even while playing.

And the drop out happens the same way...there's some bug or something in that is not possible that every single time i have drop outs...

Maybe a C2D even @2.5Ghz is on the low side of the min specs.
What latency do you ask for ? Still happen if higher ?

still happen on high...512 overall latency 11.20...i don't think that is a problem of specs because i don't encounter this kind of problem in other software...

Definitly a cpu weakness in this case, if your cpu is an Intel Core2 Duo E7200 @ 2.53GHz, it is not strong enough.

Somes are surely less or more hungry than others.

But i have a windows PC with an I3 and the same thing happens

I have an ulv-i5 and none of that happens.
what's the exact type of the i3?

I can be sure i'm not using that PC now...i fully time Mac...i'm just saying that because several friends of mine that i bring on to Cross complain about the same thing...i continue to say that is not about the Mac...like i said in the "other" software nothing like that happens...

then there's something you're all doing differentely than we do.

maybe master-tempo vs. no master-tempo in other software.
