Hi there just a quick question, I was DJing at the club doing my set and everything was working perfectly fine and afterwards another DJ came and took over. So I decided to let him use my gear because he was using audio CDs but not the program so I switched over player A and player B to line in so he could use his own audio CD. Everything was working fine, he was playing for about 3 hours. Then it was my turn to go back on to to decks, so I put my 2 controls CDs back onto Deck A and B and switched the program from line in back to player A and B. After that, this is where the problem started. I was getting a very sharp static sound coming through the speaker and I couldn't get any audio sound coming out at all, I thought the sharp static sound only occurred if you don't switch line in back to player A and B when you press play button on the CDJ. Then after that I took the 2 control CDs out and switched the player A and B back to line in again and the audio CD worked perfectly and I repeated by switching back to the program mode again and there was still a sharp static sound coming through. It was a massive nightmare, I couldn't do anything after that except disconnect the sound card box and had to connect CDJ straight to the mixer.

My question is, why does it do that and do I need to upgrade anything?

Thank you

Was your laptop in standby mode during the other guy's set ? Sometimes you may need to replug (perhaps even reboot?) in order to get a USB device working properly after standby. Just a thought.

I didn't bother checking that because I was freaking out as the club was full of people and I just froze.

By rebooting that means the music would be shut off immediately and I didn't want to do that in the club.
