U-Mix controller cue mix splits not working

Postby Tom Hugi on 11 May 2013, 07:11

Since upgrading to Cross V2.4 I can not split my cue monitor E.G I can not turn off deck A , so only to hear Deck B in my headphones or vice versa.
I hear the master mix at all times and it is so loud I cant hear the track I am cueing up. It appears the Master cue mix knob is not doing anything. The cue volume is functioning correct. The source A and Source B buttons are ceuing track but then it appears they are not turning off the track in earphones when the button is turned off
I have also lost sound to one of two channels through speakers. EG only one speaker is working from one channel
Do I need to update e drivers and firmware seperate to up updating the version of Cross?
Is the master cue mix knob broken already ?? :?:
Thanks TH

UPDATE from first post
OK so ive spent quite a few hrs trying to resolve the original minor issue which turned into a bit of head F&^%
After trying to resolve que mix issue unsuccessfully I removed V 2.4 and redownloaded. This only made things worse as the controller was not recognised at all for a while
After some time of trying to resolve I removed all Cross files from my laptop and reinstalled original purchased disk _V 1.5.4_. This version did not recognise controller at all. No issue with this version in past.
I then updated to V 2.3.1. Controller excepted but when I entered setup prefs there was no U-Mix ASIO option to choose from ?? Rebooted machine. Controller excepted started mix. Crossfader did not work at all?? Cue mix spli still not working
Note a reboot was needed after any new download or quit of software or programme would say that the controller was being used by other sources
I then updated to V 2.4. Same issue with controller not recognised. Got to run after some further reboots. Set Preferences . Cue mix split still not working by controller knob or mouse pad. So I have essentially gone around in a big long circle
Looking forward to some advice . Thanks

Hi mixvibes. still no response. Considering this is your means of providing technical support for your product I would guess someone from Mixvibes is looking at the posts?
Anyway after more work I had the system running fully with version 2. 4 after removing and reinstalling all files including the driver update again .... Used once all OK. after turning off and back on the Cross fader is now not working. Hear both channels through headphones with fader in each direction... im guessing this will be something simple
Some form of response from mixvibes would be nice . Officially getting p!@##d off ... Regards,

PS if anyone out in mixvibes community has advice or can tell me that maybe I am posting to wrong thread please let me know

You need to route your audio into dual stereo to have separate output for cue and mix.
Then on the cue output there is a knob to mix the master and the cue into the headphones.

EDIT : install the asio driver to have full access to the multiple inputs/outputs.
