been updating many files outside Cross DJ. sometimes with iTunes, sometimes with another software. in general, i'm updating id3 tag data.

now, how do i update Cross DJ Collection with this new tags?

select the tracks you want to update, right click, and hit "update tags" or "refresh tags". Not next to the DJ computer right now to let you know exactly what it says, but something like that.

it works, but it does not update the rating tag. i use to work with iTunes for organization, so there i rate my files. how to update rating of my collection with reading rating tag from iTunes?

This forum post has your answer. Short answer is iTunes doesn't save the star ratings in the tag, only in it's database.

This is just a guess from how I've come to believe how Cross imports, but when you import from iTunes into the collection, it will probably read the stars that are assigned in iTunes, but if you import from the folder locations, you probably won't get the stars to come with. So it would work with initial import, but not with updating from iTunes. I base this on the fact that I imported from iTunes with some stars attached.

Thanks for this info, very helpfull. Be aware however that some track's already have a customized beatgrid. So you have to choose to straighten or keep the MixVibes information for every track you altered.

It would be nice to have some more analyze options here, e.g. analyzing the Gain.

yep ,,when you follow the arrow you have options of anylise all ,,also anylise gain is that what you are asking

i think he is asking about updating of the actual id3/metadata of the file(s) in mixvibes when u press the collection tab. i think there is a bug when u hit the collection TAB. for me i would add the same track to the collection WHEN I WOULD CHANGE THE METADATA.ID3 tag and i would load the old track and it says file error: cannot load track , idk why there would be 2 of the same track in the collection where there should only be one...i think there should be an option to refresh on the collection tab..........
