hi,
i have problem with Cross since version 2.0
everytime i used the program my music skips frequently while doing the mix live. i don't have that problem when i'm listening to headphone.
it only occured when i started to mix it. it sounds like the music jump or skip. i thought that problem came from the soundcard u-mix44 but when i tried to use it on traktor i don't experience that kind of problem. yesterday i tried to use the latest version 2.40 but same problem occured during my live set.

i am using asus g73 laptop with core i7 Q740 processor
8gb ram, 2x500gb hdd, ati mobility radeon hd 5870 1gb
win7 home premium 64bit.

please help!

thanks in advance

Are you using a MIDI controller? I've sometimes had skips when controllers were responding to heavy bass resonance caused by the P.A. system. Just a thought. Other than that, it might be something to do with the sound card drivers. Odd that it doesn't happen with another software though. :?:

thanks for fast response :)

i don't use MIDI controller, i've notice that problem with Pioneer cdj 350 and cdj 850. i haven't tried it on any other player, i'm already using the latest driver for the soundcard. right now i use my timecode signal on usb, same thing happen with timecode cd.

i dont have that skipping issue with traktor scratch pro with u-mix44 soundcard.

what if you use the CDJs in HID-mode?

i don't know if there's somethings wrong with my tweaks,
i only enable these services when i'm spinning & the other services disabled.
same tweaks when running traktor.

Check your computer with DPC latency checker.

thanks for the reply :)

i already did that before when i'm preparing my laptop for djing.
i downloaded the video guide PC optimization here in the forum,
here's my latest latency test screenshot.

last sunday i tried HID mode with cdj350 & Cross 2.40
i never had that skips in 5hrs set. the only thing i've notice in HID mode is when the cdj350 pitch goes to 0 sometimes the pitch control will stuck to 0, you need to move the slider back to 0 to make it work.

i've also seen that pitch control stuck issue with american DJ vms2 but it's worst in vms2. can you please check that pitch control issue with vms2?
i tried to use the 2.6 firmware for vms2 but it has same problem with the pitch.

right now i am wondering if the problem comes from the U-Mix44 driver, but if i use traktor scratch pro & U-Mix44 i've never had that skip in long hour set.

please help.

thanks in advance :)
