Okay not had time to make a list, though most major things are mapped,
things like hot cues also delete the hot cues by using shift + the pad.
most sampler functions are controllable via deck C & D = ROLL for roll 7 slicer section for sampler mode, But bare in mind i have also used the shift modifier so where at first you see their is a missing sampler command like remove sample etc the pads will double up with the shift modifier,also the sampler play/rec/pause is via the sampler button on the DDJ-SX IS duplicated onto decks A&B for easy access.

i have mapped quite a few little goodies, things like the encoder will also push to preview play and shift scroll to seek the previewing track.
Its quite in depth and logical yet simple to get to all,( all i can suggest at this time is that you look at the mapping i have made and i have actually written in the instruction to what controls what,
although this is by no means finished, it really has most major things and enough to get you mashing it all up.

Unfortunately i have had to jump ship to the IL.DD dare i say it, since the latest version of Cross DJ, my Laptop cant even play a single track without glitching load up two or three tracks or a couple of samples and my CPU maxes out and graphics and sound glitches and slows down. But i don't want to waste my last weeks work mapping this, so sharing it, for modifications and additions to give you some more ideas into mapping maybe. Yes i had to buy another software yesterday to tide me over for a party tonight, the only other i think has the quality Cross has, but i will not say, not my place via another forum just abbreviated (IL)D v2. I will still contact Mixvibes on Monday to try and resolve my Performance issues.Cross will be staying as my either my main or back up software depending on my Gig wants.

What specs on your laptop and soundcard? even my older (Windows XP) laptop could handle CrossDJ when I tried.

Where you by any chance trying to run the 2.4 R.C ??
2.3.1 is as stable as I've ever seen (& I've tried them all!)
Image Line don't support DDJ-SX do they? I don't think they even offer any sort of MIDI output either at the moment. I think you might have made a hasty (& costly) jump. I've already read stories of I.L. not handling Vst's, also the support is nothing like you get here. I do hope it goes well for you though. Thanks for the mapping & good luck.

Na man i am not jumping ship, just backing what i see as the best two horses,each for their own thing.
The Performance issue is only since the extra 2 decks,and i will still be doing my best to pass this information on as it is the RC.

The controller support aspect don't really stand for squat with me,as long as it runs as a general MIDI device, i am quite happy to map stuff myself if anything i prefer too do it myself. I have always been a fan of Deckadance it has some great stuff and 100% more so now, and the thing with IL they do try to lead as suppose to copy and this is what i like, i am a greedy with controllers and technology, i want it all, coming from abletons & performance/Djing also means i like flexibility and need that, so i am not just another DJ, i can do my own thing in my own way. Deckadance is hands down the best in that area, but Cross is still the better for on the fly sampling and re-looping accuracy and more so usable now i have 4 decks.
I will probably test Cross on my PC sometime next week also just to compare my laptop issue on an i3 as suppose to my i7 PC.

Hi discopex,

Its quite a new Toshiba satellite i3, its only the RC that is doing this
tested 4 other major software Programs and don't really get many issue running much more than i have running in Cross,the only issue are like most on less powerful laptops, is the recording to WAV, after about an hour and half i get sound glitching,but that is expected.

I have not done any troubleshooting yet what so ever.

I Would appreciate if you could tell me how the performance is with the 4 deck RC version on your setup, although for me it plays up even with only one track playing and one loaded , i can see the song visual struggling and the Sound starting to stuttering.

I do have a few things to look into, including with my controller sound drivers etc.

Glad to hear that. I'm sure what you're experiencing is a known bug within the 2.4 R.C. which had something to do with an upgraded mp3 decoder giving issues. This gives you hassles whether you're just playing one track or all four. If you were to scroll back to the glitch you heard & zoom into the waveform, you'll actually see a small part of it missing. From what I've read, it's already been sorted out for the final release. I downloaded the beta of DD2, but found the mapping extremely limited for unsupported controllers (espescially jog wheels). The effects do look very interesting though. Let us know what you think of it once you've mapped it all out.

agreed regarding IL D, terrible browser section, Cross i find is now the best overall, took a little getting used to at first like most things, but its hard to do without now. Also the IL D mapping is limited, many simple things missed off, like views etc and as you say the jog mapping is bare basic and quite awkward, but i like all else and i considered worth holding onto, its still one to watch if they get their act together. i do like the Grossbeat addition and i prefer the feel,curves and freq of the faders and EQ etc, one are iam not happy with Cross, its quite raw and not so smooth sounding, with customizable Fader curves for all faders including different eq variations or away to customize i would be happy.

And off course we need the effects amount rate option effects are clumsy, and we definitely need some better beat chopping/cutting i miss being able to stutter and chop as i mix with any ease, but this is not to say Cross is not coming on strong in the other areas, and as i mentioned in another thread i think, being able to switch from Decks C/D and the samplers but holding what ever is in place be it track or samples, so i can utilize all the decks and sampler, throw in say another 4 modifiers and i will leave IL D well behind in my thoughts, i do see a great development with Cross and like i say i am really exited about where it could go with additions and refinements,we all get impatient , and me probably more so, but its just that excitement after getting let down time and time by the other contenders.

I have yet still to do any major mixing with Cross,because of the few points i mention above' and myself being a perfectionist with this missing refinement, but i have messed about a lot with my controllers when setting up to know all else: looping etc and the sample slots are a winner. I have only just got my Pioneer DDJSX
after many iffy controllers, i like it ! and am very happy for most off it,So i do look forward to using Cross, like i say I have two Programs now, IL D lead with the Tech, But Cross just has a really intuitive interface and Ease of use on the fly, and is really in depth with the mapping less the extra modifiers that are needed , so i can have more flexibility with my personal customization' when mapping my controller. I have found that maybe an extra 4-5 modifiers will future proof me and cover me for everything i need, being fussy and a control freak lol.

Got a mix to do for radio, so IL DD was needed, I wont touch traktor despite it having the nicest fades and eq all else is junk and clutter, maybe the effects in traktor would be great if you could save the combos and setting and bring em up via MIDI control, like we can select sample banks in Cross, that is the future i reckon, if such was available in Cross lol . Serato is just minimal in everything, apart from the slicer.

Okay iam waffling on now,thanks for the info about the mp3 decoder issue, gives me hope once again.
