Playlist import problem with special characters

Hi

Whenever I import playlists containing name tags with scandinavian (ä,ö) or other 'special' characters, CrossDJ drops out those characters and cannot find the songs.

For example

"Róisín Murphy" becomes "Ro Murphy" and CrossDJ then cannot find the path. Any quick solution to this?

I noticed that too, with some Greek fonts, and i had to "drop" them to mp3tag and save tags or write some of them again and then everything back to normal.

A rather irritating bug, how come others haven't come across it ? :surprised:

others have, just in different form. Placing * and @ in smart playlists will crash Cross. I have all my music tagged with a * and all the popular stuff with a @, so you can see the dilemma. I ended up abandoning that scheme and using M and P instead. So, it has been found, and has been said to have a fix in the next few updates, but not in the form you found it in.

The problem that discopex mention is not a bug but something that has to be solved by the user. There is something wrong with his tags. I believe that Cross needs a deeper look into tags 'cause i think there are problems.

They've probably lived with it, or found a workaround ;)

But why oh why do other apps handle the same .m3u files without problems...

Probably 'cause the tags are not saved correctly.
Of course we'll wait for Support to help us more.

Send the m3u for a potential fix. Thanks.
