Problems with recognizing U46MK2, can't use mixvibes :-(

Hi ,

Recent changes

With help from the forum i found out how i could record vinyl using the U46MK2 as external soundcard (combination with audacity) + i downloaded the new version of Cross : 2.3.0. One of these things however changed something somewhere after a week or so.

I now cannot use mixvibes the way i normally could (vinyl), because it doesn't recognize the u46mk2 correctly.

At preferences (audio) i got the following options

Speakers (2-U46MK2)
Speakers/Headphone (IDT high definition audio CODEC)
-
ASIO4ALL V2

I'm not a 100% sure but i'm missing something named mixvibes .... it was standing under or above ASIO4ALL. And i never had the option speakers (2-U46MK2)

Can someone help, and are there perhabs better drivers then ASIO4ALL ?

THanks

Grtz

Yes they are.

In Cross' sound setup choose U46MK2 ASIO or something like that from the drop down (sorry but I haven't used that soundcard before)

Yes i've reinstalled the asio4all driver but this changed nothing.

Somehow my computer now links the u46mk2 to my speakers ?? At least this is what the option shows in the audio pull down ?

that´s bad...

deinstall asio4all, look for u46 installations and deinstall them if given, then run a registry cleaner (such as ccleaner or wise registry cleaner)
then try this driver
[PC] [WIN XP, VISTA, SEVEN] U46MK2 v3.0

If that dont work, do the deinstall-procedure again, and install Cross from your original CD (if you have one) this will also install the embedded (probably outdated, but working) U46 driver.
