U-Mix Control Pro 2 USB audio Bitrate

Hi,

I was browsing through the U-Mix Control Pro 2 manual the other day, and noticed something in the specification appendix that surprised me:

Appendix E, p175:
USB Slave Player Section
(Signal Format: MP3, 128KBPS, SONY SOUND FORGE 8.0)

I just wanted to check that I understand this correctly... will my mp3s be effectively downsampled to 128KBPS when I play them through the U-Mix?

Could anyone clarify?

Thank you

No downsampling from the UMCP2.

That's good to hear :) What does the 128KBPS in the documentation refer to in this case then? Thanks.

Hi bgsosh,

it refers to the output specifications.
If you play a 128kbs then
THD+N (total harmonic distortion + noise) = 0.02%
and so on...

Best regards

Ah, thanks Marxon - that makes sense.
