Is the U-Mix Control Pro "class compliant"?

Postby JonnyFlash on 27 Dec 2012, 22:52

I am just wondering if the U-Mix Control Pro is class compliant? I would like to use it with my iPad as a mobile set up so I do not have to bring my MacBook with me to parties. Any ideas if it is? I can test it out if I purchase a powered USB hub and a lightning to USB camera connector but I don't want to spend extra money if it won't work. Also if would be nice to be able to use it with the Cross DJ app on the iPad.

You need to upgrade the U-Mix Control Pro firmware:
U-Mix Control Pro firmware 4.3

Since the CrossDJ for iPad 1.0.3 version, you can use multi-audio for USB compliant multichannel soundcard.

In a next version of CrossDJ for iPad, it will be possible to use MIDI.

I purchased the powered hub and camera kit but still no luck with getting any DJ app to recognize my U-Mix Control Pro. Any suggestions?

But then Cross for iPad should recognize my usb sound card now for multichannel audio output right? If so how do I change it so that it sees and activates the sound card? And also shouldn't the U-Mix with the latest firmware be recognized by the iPad with other apps

Ok all the DJ apps that I have recognize the U-Mix Control Pro as a sound card but none recognize it as a controller. Any suggestions?

On iOS you need to wait a developper mapping. On other OS PC or Mac you can do MIDI Mapping.
