Track start cue points ( Resolved)

New to Cross so please bare with me. Is there a quick way of marking the start of track with a cue point other than having to edit the beat grid every time if the software doesn't get it quite right?

Coming from VDJ where i'd normally just move the track to where i'd want it to start, then hit 'cue'. I'm finding when i do this on Cross it doesn't always put the cue marker where i want it, sometimes slightly before sometimes after. Am i doing something wrong?

Rather not have to edit EVERY beat grid every time tbh! Tried searching but can't find the answer i'm after.

TIA

Well that's how i'd expect it to work too Daniel, but it's not for me oddly.

If i play a UK Garage track which is 2 step, the software often puts the start point where it 'thinks' it is. I've had this before with VDJ so no big problem. Software often struggles with this kind of genre i find. So i've tried pushing 'cue' to tell it where it is but occassionaly it's not marking the right position?? So i end up with the cue not being directly on the 1 beat, if that makes sense?

I'm using a Denon MC3000 for control, wondered if it was anything to do with a setting i've maybe got wrong?

Hmmm ok marking the first beat via 'C' on the keyboard works. But i tried marking it with the cue button on the controller first and it put the marker infront of the beat.

I have the latest release of CrossDJ 2.2.0 and the controller is up to date firmware wise. Seems odd that marking it via keyboard works but not the controller. Maybe a mapping issue possibly you think?

It's not a major deal i can do it via the keyboard for now just would be nice if i could get to the bottom of it!

Appreciate the swift response Daniel

Couldn't find much by searching, hence the post. I have a friend with the same controller running CrossDj too so will ask if he's having the same issue.

Thanks for the welcome
