Cue button going out?

Postby djalibi on 12 Dec 2012, 18:54

I have control pro 1 and have had it for about a year and a half, it has survived several house parties and small bar/gigs, I'm sure somewhere between that, beer, drinks, and whatever might have spilled on the unit lol, anyway, my cue button on the right seems to be going out, you have to mash real hard to get it to operate, is there any fix for this besides buying a new unit? There a way to open it up an maybe clean the contact on the board to see if that helps, ? Im pretty sure it isnt firmware / software issue. Any info is helful,

  if you dont ave any electronic experience ,,i would not reccommend it ,, if you have a replacement unit or content to use the mouse then enter at your own peril   as far as replacement parts the is two listed in the product page ,but not the cue button,,other than useing the options of keyboard mapping or mouse ,,a service techinicial might be your best bet

what if i move every thing over? in other words, i dont use the sync button, can i map it to where the cue was before? in other words, the cue would be in the middle (where play/pause is normally) and the play pause button would be on the right, and i can move the sync to the left button, any way to do that? i tried to change mapping but i think there is a lock or something, lol

well, i didnt have to re-map at all , i figured i would try one more thing before moving on, upgrading to 4.2, lol, (go ahead call me a dumbazz, its ok lol!) problem solved, only problem i am having now is the number 1 locater button with the same problem, have to mash hard, but i really dont do all that fancy sampling stuff, im old school, lol! 2 locaters on the right works for me til i upgrade to the control pro 2 unit... thanks for all the info, have a great christmas...
