Macbook + U46MK2 + Cross 2.2

hello

I installed mixvibes multiple times on PC and on macbook.
now I reinstalled my macOS, and don't manage to install Cross.

macbook: 10.6.8
u46mk2 control panel: 2.2.3
Cross: 2.2

I use turntables and my u46mk2 is set to 'phono'.
in Cross, the channels are set to line, also on my mixer.
the routing mode is: external mixer cue (also tried external mixer sampler)

I installed the u46mk2 control panel for mac.
my monitor channels are set to 'mute'.
my input channels are lowered untill the half.

my sound config on the macbook is one accordingly the manual:
output full volume
input volume less than 50%

when I try to calibrate:
my left deck is showing a flat line instead of a circle.
my right deck is not recognized at all.

What am I doing wrong?
i tried everything and searched the whole forum.
thanks

allright! it works! thanks.
Really don't understand what would've been the difference between the one and the other, but still...it works.

I have a Dual Core with 2 gb ram; old macbook though 2,1

hm, there is really something strange going on...

everytime I restart the macbook, I encounter another issue:
- the input volume went 50% down, while no slider or setting was changed
- the esi config panel is not showing two phono inputs anymore, but only one input, with a orange marker 'link' (see attachment

)
- today, when I rebooted, I see a lot of noise on signal, and the same input for the both decks (see attachment
Schermafbeelding 2012-12-12 om 18.45.27.png
)

I managed to get clear audio out of Cross, but now i'm blocked again.

some help would be much appreciated

Hey,

your vinyl audio quality is not as high... Look at your screenshot and there at Cross should be a circle lines but not this crush circle. Please check if the neadle or something else is not correct or maybe the vinyl is dirty?

I disconnected the u46mk2 and reconnected it to the macbook. and now my signal is ok again, yet now my right deck is playing 50% more silent.
I switched turntables, and it's still the right deck that has a lack of input volume, so it's not the deck or the needlle.

Still strange that my two input channels on the esi control panel are combined to one.

I kinda get it what happens.
i restarted Cross, and suddenly had the lack of input volume on both sides. the moment I open the esi control panel and change the input volume; then the leftside is too loud and clipping.
so i put the input volume of the control panel back to what it was before and the leftside plays correctly while the rightside still plays too soft.

@christiankoopmann: no any other option in the control panel menu. i tried to disable the link, but it has no results. and every chance I do to the control panel is disregarded once i restart Cross.
every restart of Cross results in this:

I already tried to put the input volume higher in the macbook sound settings. still no difference between 10% and 50%. very strange

Hey,

but now it looks good on your screenshot. You have on both decks 99% Timecode quality.
Alternative you can increase the input gain on the Cross software this should also work.
But with the current setup you should be able to run timecode.
Or is it not working when you want to scratch or something else?
