I updated to 1.3.1. When it was installing I got multiple messages of some files missing? When I restarted Vfx and started to load songs from media base everything seemed good. If I click on any category like Genre, the screen freezes for about 30 to 45 seconds. Then if I click on Artist, it freezes again for about the same time. I upgraded my RAM to 16GB and the Video card has 2 GB of its on dedicated memory. I was DJing on Saturday and at about the 2 hour mark Vfx froze. I switched to the second laptop running MV Pro. Restared Vfx that ran for about 1/2 hour then I got alot of static from one channel. I shut it down again and when I tried to start Vfx it said that the MIDI driver for the Vfx controller was not found. I tried to get it started agin by restarting Vfx ame issue, I rebooted the computer and tried to restart Vfx and still no MIDI driver. The next day I down loaded the MIDI driver and everything was good until I updated to 1.3.1. Any suggestions?

I have the same mediabase slow-down, although I haven't crashed. *crosses fingers*
I thought 1.3 was a little slow but 1.3.1 is really slow and scary. If you hit the genre, artist, title, etc, and are about to mix, you can't until the mediabase does its thing.

I am sitting here trying to make it work. I keep changing setting is Preferences. Some speed it up and some slow it down. I have the delay down to about 2 seconds now when I change how I sort the mediabase. It makes no sense to me. I do no video but if I turn off the on off buttons under video it really increases the delay almost 45 seconds. So I put them back on. I am changing one setting at a time and checking on the difference. Now as long as I don't lock up.
On MV Pro, after you shut down the program it used to clear the last palyed colum. Vfx last played is always there. Does any one no how to make it clear on shut down? Also it seems like the up date when you play a song it doesn't dim down the lettering like it did in the previous version. Any clues? there must be a way to change that.

Just curious, what settings in Vfx are you turning on and off that effect the behavior of the media base?

A new development, I turned off the "compute media BPM on load" and tried, right clicking and, analyse, "BPM and gain" of a song. When I hit "BPM and gain" the Vfx Control partially froze as did the scrolling beat, however the Cross fader on the controller worked and the video effect still kept changing. After about 3 minutes everything came back. that was about a minute after the song ended. All the other controls froze and trying to click on something didn't work either. Task manager showed CPU usage in the teens.

Already have this into the RC so not surprised, but didn't feel the difference from 1.3.0
I always had this with my huge mediabase.
