Hi all,
Just after some advise.... When loading tracks from my playlists in Cross DJ it is taking a long time for the track to load up (approx 20 secs) All songs have been analysed.

I have a collection of over 50,000 songs all on the HDD and have a number of playlists.

When I load the tracks from the main music collection they load really fast.... Do you know if they is anything I can do about loading the tracks faster from the playlists??

I have optimised the collection and that doesn’t seem to have had an impact

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

How many tracks into the playlists ? (an average)

Approx 100 to 300 songs. Not all the songs on the HDD are in playlists

It's a known issue that is 'caused by the big number of your tracks in mediabase and if your tracks contains cd covers. We are waiting for a solution.

What is classified as big? This is the first time I've read that this is an issue and I wonder if this is the problem I am having.

try it then with a 20-30 tunes list

As i said the Team knows about it and is trying to solve this.
The problem starts when your mediabase is more than 5000-6000 tracks and includes artwork. Then, loading tracks from playlists freezes Cross (about 3 sec if you don't have artwork) untill the track loads to player. If you load tracks from mediabase there is no problem it loads quickly.

Thanks for your replies. I will wait to see how changes are made. At least I know the reasons which is a step forward.

sfronti has found that by not displaying the cover column things was improving a bit.
There have been some things done in this area for the 2.3. We'll see into beta/rc how it works for you guys.
