Cross 2.1.0 Cue Channel Crash

Cross 2.1.0 will crash repeatedly when I play a song to the end in the preview channel. Most of my song files are m4a (AAC) files. Stopping the preview channel from playing to the end of the song file prevents the crash from occurring.

My configuration uses the dual stereo audio preference to feed an audition/cue channel to a separate audio feed.

Has anyone else encountered this crash? Is there a fix for this?

Thanks!

Jeff Neil

Hey,

can't reproduce your issue.

But I found out that when I move the play positioning indicator to a special location it will save this position also when I select a new song so I have to put it manual to the beginning of the song.

@Support: is it normal that the song position is saved over songs at the preview player?
Go to a song highlight it after that enable the preview function. Move the curser at the VU meter to like the middle of the song and after that click on the next song. It plays the next song also from that position.
Is this the normal function? I never used the song position slider (only previewed the first seconds of the song) but for me would be helpful that it always starts at the beginning of the file.

Christian

Yes keeping position is a normal behavior.
Easier when you're looking for something in a part of the song. (begining, end, middle).

I would say that nobody never let the preview player go to the very end of a track beyond the fading point. This would explain things.

Thank to all for your replies to this issue.

Since the crash under these circumstances has been confirmed on the Mac and PC, I will wait a future version or a patch to clear the issue.

Many thanks!
