U-Mix Control Pro LEFT SIDE SCRATCH PROBLEM

i have just updated my U-Mix Control Pro to firmware v4.2 and driver 1.0.5 (PC) and the left jog wheel does not scratch anymore.

all other functions are working.

how do you go back to factory settings firmware v3.9?

not shure how to get back to firmware 3.9,,didnt have issues when updating firmware with my unit ,, just curious as to your set up ,, also what MIDI mapping are you useing also what version of the software are you running,this info will help solve the issues regarding the controller

MIDI mappings were just standard factory with the firmware v3.9

software version 2.0.1 tried and the new 2.1

no scratch function on the left side

sratch function worked all ok before the update.

Does Cross still recognize MIDI messages when turning the jog?

more than likely its not a problem with the firmware up date ,,support staff in the am ,monday(french time) has access to firmware and the possibilities of rolling back untill then any system info and set up info will help them figure out whats going on, also can you select another of the MIDI mappings that are avaible for the controller to see if the same effect is happening

Yes, have selected other MIDI mappings for the controller and the same effect happens. The right side jog wheel has scratch effect but the left side jog wheel has no scracth effect, the left side 'vinyl' button is activated but acts as a pitch bender in vinyl mode and does not scratch. The left also does not stop the track e.g. sensitive jog wheel.

All other MIDI messages are recognised as normal.

Can i download firmware v3.9 from somewhere and try dropping the v3.9 into update procedure to see if it will work?

no one other than support staf has access to that firmware ,,not shure if thats the problem but monday am french time you will get a responce

I don't think the update could have done that, retry the flashing process.

Do you think it could be a hardware problem inside the unit, however the scratch mechanism/electronics work?

Can you reverse the firmware and go back to v3.9 factory standard somehow just to try to see if it works?
