Hi there
Just got Cross up and running with mixvibes vinyl
The vinyl is a little warped but its not causing the needle to skip, it's tracking fine. The Time code is 100% quality according to the software.
but the audio does little glitches, skips, oddness, I couldn't possibly scratch with it, its even a bit odd for ceuing.

any suggestions?
Thanks
Gus

Yeah.need your full specs.sounds like something is running in the background, or your computer is low on specs.have you tried turning off quantizing?
Cheers

When you scratch does the track-time skip in the Gui too?

Do you use relative or absolute mode?

Hi There
thought I was subscribed to this but i missed those replies
I am running 10.6.8 on an early Intel macbook pro with an RME fireface400 and nothing else running (I don't even use it for internet)
It's very good on latency so I have the buffer set at 256
I use relative mode
Gonna check now about the quantising
thanks
Gus

Ok previous oddness was caused mostly by still being in hybrid mode for the pitch change rather than pitch to emulate vinyl, but

I STILL GET A GLITCH AT THE START OF PLAYING EVERY TRACK BEFORE THE ACTUAL AUDIO ON THE FILE STARTS

anyone know how to get rid of this?

No caps please, we ain't deaf ...

About your glitches at start, can you see them on the waveform too, or only hear them ?

No they are not on the waveform
the glitch always plays before the file has really started, like it is a bit of data remaining in a buffer from the previous track. If I cue from a little further along on the timecode so the marker on screen is already moving close to the start of the audio it's fine , but If I want to just put the needle down at the start of the vinyl and press start I always get a glitch.
Sorry I thought the caps helped highlight the current issue

I have this too when using timecode. Never been able to figure out how to stop it. Never been too much of a problem though as it's rare that you won't want to do some kind of cueing up before hand.
