U-Mix Control Pro - Crossfader broken?

Hi everybody!
During the special summer deal I bought a U-Mix Control Pro. I haven't been playing around with it too much, as I am not really djing anymore. But in a week I'll play at a friend's place / club ;)

So I finally set my U-Mix Control Pro up and started to get used to the workflow. It's a great thing...

All of a sudded the crossfader stopped working correctly. I wasn't scratching or anything, so at first I thought I hit some button or entered a certain MIDI shortcut or accidentally changed some settings...

But now I've been checking everything, even looked at the mapping, but the crossfader still won't work again. The fader within the software sometimes moves a little if I play around with the hardware fader, but I'm never able to change to the left player, the software fader will always stick to the right or go just as far as the middle... Also I have to move the fader fast in order to get any reaction from the software fader.

If I move the software fader to the left everything reacts as expected.

Also I tried to set the crossfader to reverse, but this just changes to problem to the other player.

If I move the crossfader fast, I sometimes get two crossfaders within the software (just for seconds though).

Is my crossfader broken?

Thank you for your help!

I just saw this: if I go to the MIDI settings, the green light hardly flashes if I move the crossfader....

=> broken, I guess :rolleyes:

Disable take-over in the prefs for the crossfader and treat it with some deoxit f5.

Hi j-kut

thanx for you support. I disabled take over which helped a bit, at least I get some reactions now. But I still can't get the software crossfader to the left player...

I've been using my U-Mix Control Pro altogether maybe two hours... Can't believe I'm already having crossfader troubles :(

It's soooo sad... I got my first gig in years coming up and won't be able to use my U-Mix Control Pro... Or maybe only with the line faders. But it certainly doesn't make me feel safe playing with the unit.

@ MixVibes-Support: Does using a faderspray like deoxit f5 comply with the warranty?

no problem with the mouse... didn't try keyboard shurtcuts.

It's just the MIDI signal of the crossfader. In preferences > MIDI you always see a green light flashing if Cross receives any MIDI signals. If I move the crossfader it only flashes once in a while... Did get better after turning off take over - but still unusable.

If the fader is faulty from factory any cleaning/lubbing solution won't give a fix it's not the same as getting worn/tired.
Send it back to the reseller.
