Digital and Vinyl Beatgrid are different

Postby rhopkins on 04 Oct 2012, 08:32

Often I will disconnect my laptop from my mixer and U46 and work out some parts of a set in my headphones. I'll set locators and correct the beat grid. However, when I then reconnect my laptop and start using timecode vinyl I find that the beatgrid corrections I made will be lost.

Is this expected behaviour?

Not possible at all.
There is only one grid and the input used doesn't matter.

But if you analyze the file again, then the beatgrid will be erased and replaced by a new one.

Ok, not sure what is going on then. I'm not selecting to analyse the track again although obviously the track is being loaded into one of the players each time.

Either that or I'm somehow not saving my beatgrid changes.

The beatgrid is automatically saved.

- put one side of the software into timecode and the other one with no timecode.
- edit the beatgrid into the deck with no timecode.
- now load the same track into the side with timecode

They should be the same.
