Hello
I have just got started with Cross, will be using timecode soon (I have played vinyl for 23 years) but for now I just learning to use it with kbd&mouse.
All up and running fine
But I do not have the cue/play button described in the manual, making the cue point pretty useless...

thanks in advance for the help!

Hiya
currently I am trying to use it without timecode. I have set inputs 1&2 to 'None' so Cross is not expecting to receive timecode. In Vinyl/CD preferences boxes for control deck 1&2 are both deselected (no tick)

But there is still a button to switch between CD or Vinyl on the top right of each waveform display

does this mean I am in external control mode still despite the above? If so how do I switch?
:)

  sorry that was incorrect ,,my responce was not understanding your question   forgot a lot of the keyboard shortcuts when i got my controller,,you do have it set to imternal mixer mode and the cue button will bring it back to the cue point ,,if you hold the cue it will play from the cue pt trying to remember how i kept it playing ,,

  try thr return key,,or enter

  open preferences /key board ,,scroll trought all the mapped functions , to fanarlise what is already mapped and you can map other function by the keyboard mapping process,, have mapped different functions to be used by keyboard control ..ie pitch, headphone volume,,bass kills ,, just a matter of figuring what you want and trying ,, will help you if i can,,,

I will have a look at the keyboard preferences I know holding down C plays from the cue point temporarily, But I am supposed to have a Cue/Play button on the screen, It shows in the screenshots in the manual, Its a pretty fundamental thing! I cannot find any setting that means I am in external mode only the 2 settings I have already set as I said above, Very perplexing.

  what version of Cross you are running , the current ver is 2.0,,,,,have you tried the enter key/return key as they call it in the keyboard mapping ,, this is labeled cue/play and does what you are trying to accomplish with the mouse action ,and the c key   the c key is cue

 if you have a cue and a play and a sync button on the gui then you are on internal mixer mode ,,that was bad info on my part because in external mode thoes buttons are replaced by hybrid/absolute /releative,,,try running a track and pushing return or enter as it might be labeled,,this is what you are trying to accomplish

Hi,

why cant i just hit ENTER while in relative mode or any of those and start from the cue point?

I also have the really annoying problem that when i map my own keys within the options that they only get saved within this session...When i close and restart Cross the buttons are not assigned the way i did it...

:?: :?: are you setting up a new keyboard mapping :?: :?:
are you in time code mode and trying to control the software by both , tc and keyboard short cuts :?: :?:
is this the same issue the original poster presented :?: :?:

man, what u are looking for is the locator / hotcue thing. thats what u can use like that in relative mode, not the "real" cue button. theres no such thing that cue button when using the decks with timecode control as u cue your tunes with the vinyl and/or cds!
