TimeCode problem im Cross 2.0.1

Hi all,

I am having problems with using the new version of Cross. I often can not use timecode (cd oder vinyl). The timecode signal can not be verified by Cross and looks quiet strange in the config menue.
Sometimes I am having this problem with one deck only. The last times I tried it both decks didn't work. Is this a known bug in Cross 2?
When I use Cross 1.7 everythink works fine, so this must be a software bug.

Thank

P-Jay

Did you try to redo the settings from scratch into 2.0.1 ?

Yes I also tried reinstalling Cross, but the error stays the same. I will try to completely remove Cross and then reinstall it later today. maybe this will help.

any other ideas?

  i think support ment to re calibrate and re do your settings for time code,,, :?: :?: if you still have 1.7 installed check to se if the set up still works for time code ,,to eliminate the idea of a hardware issue.

If you try to recalibrate it Cross did not find any timecode signal. Sometimes the signal looks like a quarter and sometime it seems that the signal is much to loud. The HW is fine as it works nice in 1.7. Everything is checked (Line/Phono-In is correct). Time Code Settings were also checked.

It's obviously something with the RIAA/phono curve or input gain, so post pics of the audio and vinyl/CD windows.

Ok I have made some more tests - this problem seems to be present when you start your PC WITHOUT the soundcard connected (Cross2.0.jpg - In this case just the deck on the left was not working but the TC-CD is running as on the right side)
Closing 2.0 starting 1.7 -> everything is ok

When you reboot your PC /Start your PC with the soundcard connected everything is also OK

Probably related to the handling of the usb by your computer. I tend to hotplug soundcard on the fly into the software and it just work.

But wouldn't it be the same with 1.7 then? If it would be a problem with the usb control there shouldn't be any different which programm I use.

May be it is the time needed to properly initialize the soundcard ?

You said you launch 2.0, no soundcard, launch 1.7 and it's ok.
And now back into 2.0 ?

And if after boot, you launch 1.7 first ? then 2.0 ?

If it was the 2.0 doing so, how could I (and others I think) swap soundcard on the fly ? They shouldn't work.

Cross doesn't handle soundcard, Cross handle drivers. Afaik nothing have been touched/improved/modified in this area, but will ask.
